An Introduction

We like to joke that it took us years to get to this point.

He was the guy in Canada who wrote the blog that made me swoon.

Occasionally there were emails sent back and forth for a few days at a time, but they would eventually fade to a close.  I was shy and kept my guard up. A few months later, the emails would begin again.

I told myself I wanted to find a boy like him. Someone funny and thoughtful and who “got it”.

Then, last summer something changed. He emailed me and I responded. Again. And again.

Maybe, I thought, I like this boy.

We kept emailing. Then gchatting.

One day he asked for my phone number.

I refused.

If he really wanted to talk to me, he’d ask again.

A few days later, he did.

He called me and I knew this was a crush. A big one.

Months passed.

We talked every day.

Conversations were had. Some more difficult than others, but all leaving me head over heels for this boy.

We know we have a lot to figure out and that’s okay. But for now? I just know I really, really like this boy.

I like him A LOT.
